Anti-LHX3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein LIM homeobox 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 397 amino acid residues and a mass of 43.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. LHX3 is known to be a type of transcription factor. The LHX3 gene has been associated with the disease, Pituitary hormone deficiency. Synonyms for this target antigen include LIM3, M2-LHX3, LIM/homeobox protein Lhx3, LIM homeobox protein 3, LIM/homeodomain protein LHX3, and CPHD3. LHX3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
