Anti-MRPL54 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein mitochondrial ribosomal protein L54. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 138 amino acid residues and a mass of 15.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. A member of the Mitochondrion-specific ribosomal protein mL54 protein family, MRPL54 is known to be involved with mitochondrial translation. Synonyms for this target antigen include 39S ribosomal protein L54, mitochondrial and mitochondrial large ribosomal subunit protein mL54. MRPL54 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the MRPL54 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
