Anti-MRPS35 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein mitochondrial ribosomal protein S35. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 323 amino acid residues and a mass of 36.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the Mitochondrion-specific ribosomal protein mS35 protein family, MRPS35 is known to be involved with mitochondrial translation. Synonyms for this target antigen include 28S ribosomal protein S28, mitochondrial, S28mt, S35mt, mitochondrial small ribosomal subunit protein mS35, and 28S ribosomal protein S35, mitochondrial. MRPS35 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of MRPS35 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
