Anti-FGD5 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein FYVE, RhoGEF and PH domain containing 5. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1462 amino acid residues and a mass of 159.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER, Golgi, and cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in endothelial cells. FGD5 is known to be involved with cytoskeleton organization and the regulation of cell shape. Synonyms for this target antigen include FYVE, RhoGEF and PH domain-containing protein 5 and zinc finger FYVE domain-containing protein 23. FGD5 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of FGD5 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
