Anti-VMAC antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein vimentin type intermediate filament associated coiled-coil protein. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 169 amino acid residues and a mass of 18.3 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Synonyms for this target antigen include vimentin-type IF-associated coiled-coil protein. VMAC gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish and chimpanzee species. Indicated applications for VMAC antibodies listed below include ELISA and Western Blot.
