Anti-ITLN2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein intelectin 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 325 amino acid residues and a mass of 36.2 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is found to be preferentially expressed in the small intestine. ITLN2 is believed to play a role in the defense system against pathogens. Synonyms for this target antigen include endothelial lectin HL-2. ITLN2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is the most common application for the ITLN2 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
