Anti-IQCH antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein IQ motif containing H. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1027 amino acid residues and a mass of 117.3 kDa. Up to 5 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in fetal and adult testis, in germ cells but not somatic cells. IQCH is believed to play a regulatory role in spermatogenesis. Synonyms for this target antigen include IQ domain-containing protein H and testis development protein NYD-SP5. IQCH gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. ELISA is the most common application for the IQCH antibodies listed below. Immunocytochemistry and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
