Anti-E2F6 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein E2F transcription factor 6. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 281 amino acid residues and a mass of 31.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in all tissues examined. A member of the E2F/DP protein family, E2F6 is known as an inhibitor of E2F-dependent transcription. Synonyms for this target antigen include transcription factor E2F6. E2F6 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of E2F6 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for these antibodies.
