Anti-Diacylglycerol O-acyltransferase 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene DGAT1 in humans. The gene may also be known as DGAT, ARAT, ARGP1, DIAR7, ACAT related gene product 1, and acyl coenzyme A:cholesterol acyltransferase related gene 1. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 55.3 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
