Anti-GLOD4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein glyoxalase domain containing 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 313 amino acid residues and a mass of 34.8 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is found to be expressed in the heart, brain, liver, kidney, pancreas and placenta. It is a member of the Glyoxalase I protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include CGI-150, HC6, HC71, glyoxalase domain-containing protein 4, and C17orf25. GLOD4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some GLOD4 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
