Anti-DMRTA2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein DMRT like family A2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 542 amino acid residues and a mass of 53.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. It is notably expressed in the testis. A member of the DMRT protein family, DMRTA2 is suspected to be involved in sexual development. Synonyms for this target antigen include doublesex- and mab-3-related transcription factor 5, and doublesex- and mab-3-related transcription factor A2. DMRTA2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the DMRTA2 antibodies listed below. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
