Anti-DLEC1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein DLEC1 cilia and flagella associated protein. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1755 amino acid residues and a mass of 195.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in all tissues examined. DLEC1 is known to be important for spermatogenesis and male fertility (By similarity). The DLEC1 gene has been associated with the disease, Lung cancer. Synonyms for this target antigen include DLC-1, DLC1, F56, FAP81, deleted in lung and esophageal cancer protein 1, and CFAP81. DLEC1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Immunohistochemistry is the most common application for the DLEC1 antibodies listed below. ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
