Anti-LSM11 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein LSM11, U7 small nuclear RNA associated. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 360 amino acid residues and a mass of 39.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. A member of the SnRNP Sm proteins protein family, LSM11 is a known component of the U7 snRNP complex that is involved in the histone 3'-end pre-mRNA processing. The LSM11 gene has been associated with the disease, Aicardi-Goutieres syndrome. Synonyms for this target antigen include U7 snRNA-associated Sm-like protein LSm11. LSM11 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some LSM11 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
