Anti-KCTD9 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein potassium channel tetramerization domain containing 9. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 389 amino acid residues and a mass of 42.6 kDa. KCTD9 is reported to be a substrate-specific adapter of a BCR (BTB-CUL3-RBX1) E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex, which mediates the ubiquitination of target proteins, leading to their degradation by the proteasome. Synonyms for this target antigen include BTB/POZ domain-containing protein KCTD9, potassium channel tetramerisation domain containing 9, and BTBD27. KCTD9 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some KCTD9 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations.
