Anti-CEP76 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein centrosomal protein 76. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 659 amino acid residues and a mass of 74.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the CEP76 protein family, CEP76 is known to be a centrosomal protein involved in regulation of centriole duplication. Synonyms for this target antigen include centrosomal protein of 76 kDa and centrosomal protein 76kDa. CEP76 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some CEP76 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
