Anti-DACH1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein dachshund family transcription factor 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 758 amino acid residues and a mass of 78.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. A member of the DACH/dachshund protein family, DACH1 is reported to be a transcription factor that is involved in regulation of organogenesis. The DACH1 marker can be used to identify Brain Splatter Neurons.* Synonyms for this target antigen include dachshund homolog 1, dac homolog, and DACH. DACH1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
