Anti-CHST10 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein carbohydrate sulfotransferase 10. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 356 amino acid residues and a mass of 42.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the Golgi. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the Sulfotransferase 2 protein family, CHST10 is known to catalyze the transfer of sulfate from 3'-phosphoadenylyl sulfate (PAPS) to position 3 of terminal glucuronic acid of both protein- and lipid-linked oligosaccharides. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include HNK1ST, HNK-1 sulfotransferase, huHNK-1ST, and HNK-1ST. CHST10 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for CHST10 antibodies.
