Listed below are antibodies that target choline acetyltransferase, a protein known to be expressed in mice. Its ortholog in humans is choline O-acetyltransferase, encoded by the CHAT gene. CHAT is a member of the Carnitine/choline acetyltransferase protein family and is known to catalyze the reversible synthesis of acetylcholine (ACh) from acetyl CoA and choline at cholinergic synapses. A number of choline acetyltransferase antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
