Anti-DNAH6 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein dynein axonemal heavy chain 6. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 4158 amino acid residues and a mass of 476 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in several tissues, including brain, pituitary, testis and trachea, with highest levels in testis. It is a member of the Dynein heavy chain protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include Dnahc6, HL-2, HL2, axonemal beta dynein heavy chain 6, ciliary dynein heavy chain 6, and DNHL1. DNAH6 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish and chimpanzee species. Some DNAH6 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Immunohistochemistry is a widely used application for these antibodies. Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
