Anti-ACMSD antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein aminocarboxymuconate semialdehyde decarboxylase. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 336 amino acid residues and a mass of 38 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the kidney and liver. A member of the ACMSD protein family, ACMSD is known to be involved with metabolic processes. Synonyms for this target antigen include 2-amino-3-carboxymuconate-6-semialdehyde decarboxylase and picolinate carboxylase. ACMSD gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of ACMSD antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
