Anti-FTSJ2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target FTSJ2 is a known alias name of the protein mitochondrial rRNA methyltransferase 2, encoded by the MRM2 gene in humans. This 246-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in rRNA processing, among other biological processes. It is localized to the mitochondria of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is found to be widely expressed, with highest expression in muscle, placenta, and heart. Other synonyms for FTSJ2 include FJH1 and HEL97.
