Anti-OR8S1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein olfactory receptor family 8 subfamily S member 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 359 amino acid residues and a mass of 39.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. A member of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 protein family, OR8S1 is known to be involved with signal transduction pathways. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include olfactory receptor 8S1. OR8S1 gene orthologs have been reported in the rat and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the OR8S1 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
