Anti-GLUT2 antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene SLC2A2, or 'solute carrier family 2 member 2' in humans. The 524-amino acid protein is a member of the Major facilitator superfamily, Sugar transporter (TC 2.A.1.1) family, Glucose transporter subfamily. The cellular localization is predicted to be membrane-associated. Glycosylation sites have been reported.
