Anti-GLT6D1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein glycosyltransferase 6 domain containing 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 276 amino acid residues and a mass of 32.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. It is reported to be expressed in both healthy and inflamed gingival tissue samples at similar levels, with higher expression in the gingival connective tissue compared to gingival epithelium. A member of the Glycosyltransferase 6 protein family, GLT6D1 is known to be involved with carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include galactosyltransferase family 6 domain containing 1, glycosyltransferase 6 domain-containing protein 1, and putative glycosyltransferase 6 domain-containing protein 1. GLT6D1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the GLT6D1 antibodies listed below. In addition, Immunocytochemistry is also a common application.
