Anti-Damage specific DNA binding protein 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene DDB1 in humans. The gene may also be known as XAP1, DDBA, UV-DDB1, XPCE, DNA damage-binding protein 1, and DDB p127 subunit. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 127 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
