Anti-HES4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein hes family bHLH transcription factor 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 221 amino acid residues and a mass of 23.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. HES4 is known to be a type of transcriptional repressor. The HES4 marker can be used to identify CD16 Monocytes.* Synonyms for this target antigen include bHLH factor Hes4, class B basic helix-loop-helix protein 42, hHES4, hairy and enhancer of split 4, and transcription factor HES-4. HES4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some HES4 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
