Anti-GAB3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein GRB2 associated binding protein 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 586 amino acid residues and a mass of 65.6 kDa. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the GAB protein family, GAB3 is known to be involved with macrophage differentiation and signal transduction pathways. Post-translational modifications have been described, including phosphorylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include GRB2-associated binder 3, Gab3 scaffolding protein, growth factor receptor bound protein 2-associated protein 3, and DOS/Gab family member 3. GAB3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some GAB3 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
