Anti-DUSP18 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein dual specificity phosphatase 18. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 188 amino acid residues and a mass of 21.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus, mitochondria, and cytoplasm. It is reported to be widely expressed with highest levels in the liver, brain, ovary and testis. It is a member of the Protein-tyrosine phosphatase protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include dual specificity protein phosphatase 18 and low molecular weight dual specificity phosphatase 20. DUSP18 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Immunocytochemistry and Immunofluorescence are common applications for DUSP18 antibodies.
