Anti-CLIP3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein CAP-Gly domain containing linker protein 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 547 amino acid residues and a mass of 59.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane, Golgi, and cytoplasm. CLIP3 is known to function as a cytoplasmic linker protein. Post-translational modifications have been described, including palmitoylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include CLIPR59, RSNL1, CLIP-170-related 59 kDa protein, cytoplasmic linker protein 170-related 59 kDa protein, restin-like 1, and CLIPR-59. CLIP3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish and chimpanzee species. Some CLIP3 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
