Anti-CCDC85A antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein coiled-coil domain containing 85A. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 553 amino acid residues and a mass of 60 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell junctions. A member of the CCDC85 protein family, CCDC85A is believed to play a role in cell-cell adhesion and epithelium development through its interaction with proteins of the beta-catenin family. Synonyms for this target antigen include coiled-coil domain-containing protein 85A. CCDC85A gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. These CCDC85A antibodies are widely used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
