Anti-CRCP antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein CGRP receptor component. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 148 amino acid residues and a mass of 16.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cell membrane. Up to 4 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. A member of the Eukaryotic RPC9 RNA polymerase subunit protein family, CRCP is known to be involved with innate immune responses. The CRCP marker can be used to identify Neuronal Cells.* Synonyms for this target antigen include CGRP-RCP, CGRPRCP, POLR3I, POLR3J, RCP, RCP9, RPC9, and C17. CRCP gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species.
