Anti-MBD6 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein methyl-CpG binding domain protein 6. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1003 amino acid residues and a mass of 101.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and chromosomes. MBD6 is known to bind to heterochromatin. Synonyms for this target antigen include methyl-CpG-binding protein MBD6. MBD6 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish and chimpanzee species. Some MBD6 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunocytochemistry is also a common application.
