Anti-KRT32 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein keratin 32. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 448 amino acid residues and a mass of 50.3 kDa. A member of the Intermediate filament protein family, KRT32 is known to be involved with epidermis development and epithelial cell differentiation. Synonyms for this target antigen include HKA2, KRTHA2, hHa2, keratin, type I cuticular Ha2, K32, hair keratin, type I Ha2, hard keratin, type I, 2, and HA2. KRT32 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. Some KRT32 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
