Anti-LPIC antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target LPIC is a known alias name of the protein tripeptidyl peptidase 1, encoded by the TPP1 gene in humans. This 563-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in nervous system development and epithelial cell differentiation, among other biological processes. It is localized to the lysosomes of the cell and features N-glycosylated and cleaved post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in all tissues examined with highest levels in the heart and placenta and relatively similar levels in other tissues. Other synonyms for LPIC include CLN2, CLN2, and GIG1. Western Blot is the most common application for the LPIC antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
