Anti-DCDC1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein doublecortin domain containing 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1783 amino acid residues and a mass of 200.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. DCDC1 is reported to be a microtubule-binding protein, which plays an important role in mediating dynein-dependent transport of RAB8A-positive vesicles to the midbody during cytokinesis. Synonyms for this target antigen include doublecortin domain-containing 5 protein, doublecortin domain-containing protein 5, and doublecortin domain-containing protein 1. DCDC1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chicken species. Indicated applications for DCDC1 antibodies listed below include Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry.
