Anti-CHST4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein carbohydrate sulfotransferase 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 386 amino acid residues and a mass of 45.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the Golgi. It is notably expressed in HEV. A member of the Sulfotransferase 1 protein family, CHST4 is known to be involved with carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis and cell adhesion. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include GlcNAc6ST2, HECGLCNAC6ST, LSST, GST-3, HEC-GlcNAc6ST, and GST3. CHST4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some CHST4 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
