Anti-B-cell linker antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target B-cell linker is a known alias name of the protein B cell linker, encoded by the BLNK gene in humans. This 456-amino acid residue protein is known to function as a central linker protein, downstream of the B-cell receptor (BCR), bridging the SYK kinase to a multitude of signaling pathways and regulating biological outcomes of B-cell function and development. It is localized to the cell membrane and cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in B-cell lineage and fibroblast cell lines.
