Anti-CAS2 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The CAS2 antigen is another term for the human protein tyrosinase related protein 1, encoded by the TYRP1 gene. The protein is reported to play a role in melanin biosynthesis. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 537 residues and a mass of 60.7 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane and it is expressed in the small intestine, skin, rectum, duodenum, and colon. The CAS2 protein is a member of the Tyrosinase protein family.
