Anti-CPN2 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein carboxypeptidase N subunit 2. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 545 amino acid residues and a mass of 60.6 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. CPN2 is known to be involved with protein stabilization. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include carboxypeptidase N 83 kDa chain, carboxypeptidase N large subunit, carboxypeptidase N regulatory subunit, carboxypeptidase N, polypeptide 2, 83kD, and ACBP. CPN2 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species. Some CPN2 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
