Anti-CREB3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cAMP responsive element binding protein 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 371 amino acid residues and a mass of 41.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the ER and Golgi. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. A member of the BZIP protein family, CREB3 is known to be involved with chemotaxis and the regulation of apoptosis. Post-translational modifications have been described, including N-glycosylation and protein cleavage. Synonyms for this target antigen include LZIP, sLZIP, cyclic AMP-responsive element-binding protein 3, basic leucine zipper protein, and LUMAN. CREB3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of CREB3 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
