Anti-ERK7 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target ERK7 is a known alias name of the protein mitogen-activated protein kinase 15, encoded by the MAPK15 gene in humans. This 544-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in DNA damage pathways and intracellular signal transduction, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell and features ubiquitinated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be widely expressed with a maximal expression in the lung and kidney. The term ERK-8 is another synonym for ERK7. ELISA is the most common application for the ERK7 antibodies listed below. Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
