Anti-CAPN11 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein calpain 11. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 739 amino acid residues and a mass of 84.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasmic vesicles. It is reported to be highly expressed in the testis. A member of the Peptidase C2 protein family, CAPN11 is known to be involved with proteolysis. Synonyms for this target antigen include CANP 11 and calcium-activated neutral proteinase 11. CAPN11 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some CAPN11 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
