Anti-ACBD4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein acyl-CoA binding domain containing 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 268 amino acid residues and a mass of 30.3 kDa. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. ACBD4 is known to bind medium- and long-chain acyl-CoA esters and may function as an intracellular carrier of acyl-CoA esters. Synonyms for this target antigen include acyl-CoA-binding domain-containing protein 4 and acyl-Coenzyme A binding domain containing 4. ACBD4 gene orthologs have been reported in the rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some ACBD4 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
