Anti-CAPN14 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein calpain 14. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 684 amino acid residues and a mass of 79.6 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the Peptidase C2 protein family, CAPN14 is known to be involved with proteolysis. Synonyms for this target antigen include CANP 14 and calcium-activated neutral proteinase 14. CAPN14 gene orthologs have been reported in the bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is the most common application for the CAPN14 antibodies listed below. ELISA, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
