Anti-ADAM20 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ADAM metallopeptidase domain 20. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 726 amino acid residues and a mass of 81.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the membrane. It is reported to have testis-specific expression. ADAM20 is suspected to be involved in sperm maturation and/or fertilization. Post-translational modifications have been described, including protein cleavage and glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include a disintegrin and metalloproteinase domain 20, and disintegrin and metalloproteinase domain-containing protein 20. ADAM20 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat and bovine species. Immunohistochemistry is a widely used application for the ADAM20 antibodies listed below. In addition, Western Blot is also a common application.
