Anti-ACSL3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein acyl-CoA synthetase long chain family member 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 720 amino acid residues and a mass of 80.4 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria and ER. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the ATP-dependent AMP-binding enzyme protein family, ACSL3 is known to be involved with fatty acid metabolism and the regulation of cell differentiation. Synonyms for this target antigen include FACL3, LACS 3, LACS3, PRO2194, fatty acid CoA ligase Acsl3, and ACS3. ACSL3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of ACSL3 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
