Anti-SAM and HD domain containing deoxynucleoside triphosphate triphosphohydrolase 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene SAMHD1 in humans. The gene may also be known as DCIP, HDDC1, CHBL2, MOP-5, deoxynucleoside triphosphate triphosphohydrolase SAMHD1, and SAM domain and HD domain 1. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 72.2 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
