Anti-CD97 antibodies detect the protein encoded by the gene ADGRE5, or 'adhesion G protein-coupled receptor E5' in humans. The 835-amino acid protein is a member of the G-protein coupled receptor 2 family, LN-TM7 subfamily. The cellular localization is predicted to be membrane-associated and secreted. Glycosylation sites have been reported.
