Anti-CITED4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein Cbp/p300 interacting transactivator with Glu/Asp rich carboxy-terminal domain 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 184 amino acid residues and a mass of 18.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. It is reported to be expressed in most tissues examined with highest levels of expression in the heart, liver, skeletal muscle and pancreas. A member of the CITED protein family, CITED4 is known to act as transcriptional coactivator for TFAP2/AP-2. Synonyms for this target antigen include MRG-2, MSG1-related protein 2, transcriptional co-activator 4, and cbp/p300-interacting transactivator 4. CITED4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some CITED4 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
