Anti-XPO6 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein exportin 6. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1125 amino acid residues and a mass of 128.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the Exportin protein family, XPO6 is known to mediate the nuclear export of actin and profilin-actin complexes in somatic cells. Synonyms for this target antigen include RANBP20, ran-binding protein 20, and EXP6. XPO6 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of XPO6 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
